In Cote d’Ivoire, women draw water from a well built by International Rescue Committee, a nonprofit that works to respond to humanitarian crises around the world with a broad spectrum of services related to healthcare, improved living conditions and social services. OPIC provides political risk insurance for IRC’s operations in more than 20 countries, including Cote d’Ivoire, and earlier this year recognized the group with an OPIC Impact Award in the development impact category.
