OPIC President and CEO honored with the Global Generation Award
The Millennium Campus Network is a nonprofit that is dedicated to training a new generation of global development leaders on university campuses across the globe. The organization recently held its 8th Annual Millennium Campus Conference – MCC16 – in Washington, DC at Howard University, where over 250 attendees gathered to network, launch campaigns on international issues that they care about most, and learn about the next professional steps that are available to them in the global development sector. This year, OPIC President and CEO Elizabeth L. Littlefield received the Global Generation Award alongside Dr. Helene Gayle, CEO of McKinsey Social Initiative and USAID Administrator Gayle Smith. These women were honored for being global leaders who are on the cutting edge of innovation in global development. Past conference speakers include U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Leymah Gbowee, and more than 200 other distinguished global leaders.
