Jordan’s Amman East Power Plant, built with the support of OPIC financing to AES Corp. of Arlington Virginia in 2007, significantly expanded access to electricity to help the country meet growing demand. The 400 MW combined-cycle, gas-fired plant, was the first independent power plant in Jordan and represents one of the largest foreign investments in Jordan’s power sector. Read more
