Managing Director, Social Enterprise Finance Team
Tell us a little about yourself:
My career started off fairly tradtional working in New York in finance. I always had a desire to work in the area of development finance and was an OPIC intern while in graduate school. I was able to transition to development finance as a Fellow in the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program before coming to OPIC full-time.
What do you like best about working at OPIC?
At OPIC, we see the tangible results of our work in the businesses that we fund from a social and financial perspective. This supports my passion for being of service and helping others. I also enjoy the collegiality and energy of my colleagues and team. Yes, I am having fun at work!
Is there a woman who has inspired you?
I am inspired by the life of Madame C.J. Walker. She was an international business woman, social activist and philanthropist. She is known as the first African-American woman to become a self-made millionaire.
Will you share an interesting fact about yourself?
I love great desserts! I am also into distance running (at a slow pace).
