Acting Chief of Staff
Cameron Alford is the Acting Chief of Staff at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. As Acting Chief of Staff, Mr. Alford serves as an adviser to the agency’s President and Chief Executive Officer, providing guidance and leadership on strategy, operations, and policy matters. The Chief of Staff supports the management of the agency’s administrative and program issues and ensures that priorities are implemented in all aspects of OPIC’s operations.
Mr. Alford has nearly 15 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Prior to assuming role as Acting Chief of Staff, Mr. Alford was a lawyer in OPIC’s Department of Legal Affairs where he worked on numerous finance, investment funds and political risk insurance transactions in OPIC priority regions and sectors.
Before joining OPIC, Mr. Alford was a transactional lawyer with Jones Day, a large international law firm where he specialized in structured finance and derivatives.
Mr. Alford graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in political science. He obtained his law degree from George Washington University in 2001.
